પ્રજાસત્તાક દિવસની પૂર્વ સંધ્યાએ વીરતા પુરસ્કારોની જાહેરાત કરવામાં આવી છે. સંરક્ષણ મંત્રાલયે જણાવ્યું કે રાષ્ટ્રપતિએ 74મા પ્રજાસત્તાક દિવસની પૂર્વ સંધ્યાએ સશસ્ત્ર દળોના જવાનો અને અન્ય લોકોને 412 વીરતા પુરસ્કારો અને અન્ય સંરક્ષણ પુરસ્કારોને મંજૂરી આપી છે. તેમાં ચાર મરણોત્તર સહિત છ કીર્તિ ચક્રો, બે મરણોત્તર સહિત 15 શૌર્ય ચક્રોનો સમાવેશ થાય છે.
